G'day,
Can someone tell me if the spark plug boot (section that goes down the head to the plug) is a seperate unit to the lead (section from the boot to the coil pack)?
My Cylinder 2 lead popped out of the boot on Saturday and i dont know if it was ment to or not. I have pushed it back in and it still works, but not sure if it's broken or not. Since the B250 is rare here in Australia, getting help is hard.
Thanks.
Dave.

On the 400 they twist on... as they get old sometimes they pop off. Cut the wire back 1/2" and twist it back on.

not only on the B4, but on all modern engines.
if you look in the boot youll see a screw-ending which you can twist in the cable for proper connection

They are a huge pain in the ass. With the age of these bikes, the copper wire threads are very britle and the plastic sheathing gets very stiff. I ended up buying a 6 foot (IIRC) length of 7mm (again, IIRC) plug wire and replacing all of them.

not on a Honda Bart like what rob rides I like ngk wires actually for Robs bike offered after market they are great and fairly cheap

I bought a set of dyna silicon leads they fitted nicely.

does the lead come out of the coil the same way as the boot? if so i'm going to replace the leads as they're not insulating very well.
-
Yes the leads come out the same from the coil.
-
do not buy acell wires as they will not screw into the coils cause the core is to soft
