This is off a Suzuki RM 250 ( 2 stroke ). My local Suzuki dealer took the time to help me find the "stamping" match in their dealer book. They used the Vortex and JT dealer/mechanic's manual. Big thanks to Ken's Cycle here in the Richmond, VA area.
I'm using the 520 / 15 teeth from JT sprockets. You will notice that I need a little shaved of the front middle to allow for the C clip. The back has a little kick out that could be cut or shaved instead. I'm using a wider rear wheel and want the chain clearance. So, I'm leaving the kick out on the back.
For you guys that want a bigger rear wheel on a stock swingarm:
I think an '89 gsxr 750, a 4.5" rear wheel / 160 rear tire will bolt very easily in a stock swing arm using a 520 or 525 chain and sprocket set.

I have a 160/60-17 Pilot Road 3 on the back of the B400 with standard size sprockets 47 & 14 and 525-114 chain. Only 1/8" or so clearance between the tire and chain but doesn't ever touch. I had a Shinko of the same number size before but it was actually a bit narrower so a bit more clearance.

I run a 520 chain and im sure i used a LTZ400 front sprocket this has a very small rise on one side so i only had to grind about 1/2mm to get the 'c' clip on. The rear was a a 520 conversion for the SV650 and ive got both 47 and 46 teeth, ive found with a 160 rear the 47 spot on for trackdays but im running the 46 on the road or its doing 8000 rpm at 70mph.

Here are some details from my local Suzuki dealer's JT Sprockets dealer book and all of the following fit the Bandit 400.
JTF 432, 520 chain for RM 250, DR 350, DR 400. It is 10.2mm wide with about 4mm out kick that will need some ground to fit the clip
JTF 434, 520 chain for GN 400, GZ 250. It is 7.1mm wide with 2mm kick out. This is perfect for runing a 4.5 rear with a 160 tire. Like a CBR F2 wheel.
JTF 435, 530 chain
All insides are Z-13, 19.5mm X 22.5mm

I'm new to the site. I'm running the stock rear wheel with the stock 150/70-17. I'm planning on doing a 520 conversion. Will KFX/Z400 ATV sprocket work with my setup? That would be pretty cool, as I already have a 2006 KFX 400!

Andrew,
Just try it or cross reference your bike with the above part number from sproket specialties.

Here is the 14T back from machining. I will the 15T in a couple of days.

I'm curious as to what the advantage is to a 520 conversion from the stock 525?
-
Canyonbreeze,
520 is lighter and allows for more tire clearance or tire/rim sizes.

I have the 06 rim and using the stock cush drive from the b4 and it look like i am not gonna have enough clearance to hand the rear brake hanger. I am not a fan of the twisty style rim that comes on the b4 i like the straight 3 spoke on most of the gsxr's.
so my question is do I have to find a more narrow drive plate to make this work and if so, on which model would I find this?
thanks for your help in advance.

I've noticed some tire and chain rub. So, if you run a 160/4.5 rim ie Oil cooled gsxr 750 or cbr f2; then use the 434 or 432. My 180/5.5 rim is rubbing a little; so I'm looking to find other options. Each tire has different profiles and I need the space with Dunlops.
