Does anyone know where i can find the wiring codes for a 91 400 bandit, or at least answer a question i have for now. the electrical leads going into the coil assys are color coded, but im not sure which wire is connected where??

I think there's still a downloadable free copy of the service manual in the Members forum.

That particular question should be an easy one for someone to answer. I used to have it memorized how to hook up the coils but it's escaping me at the moment.

Don't have a 400 book, but the 600 (probably the same) has 4 wires to the coil unit. 2 are Orange and white... they tie together in the wiring harness and become one. There is a white wire... it goes to the IGN Control Module . There is a Black and Yellow which also goes to the IGN Control Module.

The connexions probably are not marked.

if you look at your coils where the wires plug in, there are a + and a - sign on the coil. your wires all all bike will have a common hot orange with white stripe I believe. the others go to the negative . Hope that helps a bit
