Title: stator question
Post by: todius on July 11, 2005, 03:32:49 PM
anyone know what the power output is of the stators on our bikes?

Got my bike running only to find out my voltage regulator ate itself (blew the high beam, so I checked it with a meter 16-17Vdc).   Anyway, if I can figure out what the power output of our stator is, it would help in finding rectifier/regulators from other bikes that may work.

Well, I never did find out the power output of the B4's stator, but I tried a diff. regulator anyway.   I bought a regulator from an '04 GS500f off of eBay.  So far it is working.  Wiring and mounting holes are the same....  doesn't seem to get too hot, but I may wire up a couple running lights, etc, just to keep the load down on it until my official B4 regulator comes in.
