Long overdue pictures.
« on: September 09, 2005, 01:05:22 AM »

I finnaly got around to taking some snaps of my ride. She's a little bit dirty in this picture but its hard to tell. If I give her a wash on the weekend you might see some new pics up.

Current mods:
Yoshimura Exhaust
K&N air filter
Modded airbox
Jet kit
Drag bars
"Customized" right engine cover

Winter projects:
Katana clipsons
Polished Katana triple clamp
Rear fender chop (its way over due)
Smaller indicators
Repaint headers
Polish engine covers (if I get ambitious)

Gotta love my ghetto back alley. It's where I do most of my work on her during the riding season. In the winter I bring her in to my apartment through that freight elevator door.

Hey Interfuse what did you end up with on your jetting, have you noticed the loss of bottom end with that pipe?

I've had fun re-jetting that carb. I've tried over 20 different combinations already and the carb tuning is still ongoing. Right now I'm running 102.5 mains, middle clip, 2.5 turns out. With that setting and the stock air box the bike was running rich in the lower rpm range but running great at the top. After modding the airbox, the bike now it runs great in the lower rpm range but the power starts to fall off around 11,000. I'm going to switch up the main jet on the weekend and see how it nets out.

I bought the bike with that pipe already installed, so it's all I know. But I have noticed it getting louder. I figure its probably time for a repack.

Looks good Interfuse!  I too have that clutch cover mod!

Where are you with your floats?  When I went to my modded airbox and larger mains, I ended up rich on my floats somehow.  Started fouling plugs at constant high speeds (90+ for 10 miles or so).  Dropped the floats a little and that cleared up.  I'm with you - constant fiddling.  I'm really getting there, though.

I drilled two 1" holes on either side of the snorl. Which allowed too much air in for my carb settings. So I taped off part of each hole until I found something that worked. Once I switch up to a larger main jet I should be set. Knock wood.

I'm planning on replacing my customized engine cover over the winter. I've got a spare engine cover that I'm in the process of polishing up to put on.

I have some 110's that I was planning on putting in this weekend. But due to another problem, I've had to put changing the jets on the back burner.
