I couldn't find any results using the Search engine. Lots of questions:
I have a '91 Bandit 400. (US model)
Do the stock Bandit 400 mirrors work well? Do they provide a good view? Do they vibrate much?
My bike had some aftermarket mirrors I'm not to fond of. I have the Suburban Machinery clubman bars and would rather not use bar ends, so I'm considering the stock units. Always liked the way the stockers looked in pics.
So does anyone have set in good condition they want to sell? Did these mirrors come on any other models? Maybe the naked Bandit 1200?
-
I'm pretty sure the early 90's GSX1100G and VX800 used the same type of mirrors as the 91-93 B4.
-
personally i thought the stock mirrors were a bit smallish...
Sadly i don't have them anymore since they got broken last month. Not really in a "selling condition"
-
I kinda like the look of the stockers, too. I have cheapie Emgos. With my SM bars (type 1) I couldn't see at all with the stockers, tho. I sold them to one of the members here - Todius, I believe. One of these days, I'd like to get CRG barends.
You can use mirrors off just about anything that uses a 10mm threaded attachement (except IIRC, Kawis which have a reverse thread on one side).

Thanks for your comments.
PitterB4, why couldn't you see out of them? Vibration? Too Small? Position?
I have some CRG LS mirrors leftover from my ZRX1200. I like them, but you really have to take your eyes off the road to look at them - even more so on the B4. They are very convex. There is a wide field of vision, but its hard to see very far behind you (Is that a Cop? Is THAT a Cop?)

I didn't spend a TON of time messing with them but I couldn't get them to adjust to a place where I could see anything but my 'bows.

Good feedback on the CRGs. Thx.

I've got a pair of stockers I'm not using anymore. I'll take a look at them tonight to see what condition they are in (might be scrathced a bit)...if I remember that and can take a picture I will.

Interested in those mirrors if you have a chance to check them out.

>>My new mirrors...<<
Nice-looking. How do you wire those suckers up? Are they planar or convex?
-
Wow!! Sweet! Please tell me the shop's you found those in is located in Belgium...
-
Those are pretty trick. :bigok:
FWIW, there's a guy in the Stores section of ebay selling a brand new B4 left mirror pretty cheaply.

I hooked him up with my old set. They cleaned up pretty nicely, amazing what some chrome polish will do. Hope he's happy with them!

You polished the chrome on used mirrors before shipping? Thats it, I'm buying everything from JmuRiz from now on. Bike parts, laundry detergent, beer...everything.

Herr Tod,
Who makes those? I'm looking to replace my chrome circles.
Thx,
Russ

They come from a German store. They have two other types as well, one with LED's and another one with a bulb but a different shape. They all cost between $60 - $80 a piece.
-
Cool, thanks for the info.
Can't wait for pics!

$41 buy-it-now shipped for the pair.
You can possibly pick up a pair for $31 shipped when the auction closes in four days...I am way too impatient though.

I've seen those too, but compared to the other ones they are inferior imho  There are a lot of cheaper mirros for scooters as well, but I'm afraid the quality will be 'scooterish'
Here are the other two types.

Hehe, it's not just your opinion. It's my opinion too! They are obviously inferior. I'd take those LENKERSPIEGEL MIT BLINKEREN over these any day...just not at 3 times the price (plus shipping).
Hopefully they won't look too much like the cheap chinese crap that they probably are. I'll post some pics after the install.

Just got my stock mirrors from JmuRiz. Packaged beautifully and in great shape. Thanks!
-
They are expensive indeed. However for me these are the first mirrors which look better than stock, (probably the only ones, as I have seen a world of mirros ) and they look good with the Hornet headlight

I'll be the judge of that.
Let's see some pics!
They have to look better than this...ugh
