especially the rear shock inside the frame?
what do you use in your shop jay?

right now i'm cheap and just print them out on paper everytime.

I thought about getting a nice metal metric ruler set from an art store.
I don't know where else to get metric ones small enough.
metrics are easier read I think
the shop manual shows inches too & its pretty easy to look up the conversion on the net, but I always get confused by the 1/4s & 1/8s

I bought a metric tape measure from the snap on dude! But im sure sears or your local hardware has a metric tape . I use that to measure the front and back. I also use a machinest ruler to measure my front forks when i raise or lower them or a dial caliper! Or if your in the US most dealers deal with Parts Unlimited or Tucker Rockey and they both sell a niffty race tech tape measure in metric All i read is metric Im lost when i try to read HARLEY!

i won a 2005 gxr shock for $27 though
so i'll have pictures of that when i put it in
but since i am lazy it might take some time

Post by: Herr Tod on October 18, 2005, 10:19:51 AM: Jay, isn't that fork 25 mm's shorter than the original one? My B4 fork is 745 mm's from top to the middle of the front axle. Doesn't that mess up your ride height?

Post by: gsxr400 racer on October 18, 2005, 05:38:02 PM: I would say not but will measure for ya ! i have it dropped all the way but 10mm due to it was sitting to high! my rear shock is ride hight adjustabke abd so are my dog bones (linkage arms)! Oh and my subframe is seat hight adjustable so i got to many things to play with!

Post by: Herr Tod on October 18, 2005, 06:12:59 PM: I envy you :lol: After I've installed the GSXR K2 shock I had to raise the forks to the stock height again, I lowered them because I'm using a 150/60 rear tire instead of the stock 150/70. So if I install a GSXR K3/4/5 front end I might have a problem.
