As much as I would love to get a set of Pilots,  I can't quite bring myself to support or trust a company that can't build a tire that doesn't blow on turn 13 of the Indianapolis Formula One circuit.

I personally don't love renault, but who's won the majority of the races the last two F1 seasons? It not bridgestone drivers... As far as motorcycle racing goes the only critical tire failures I've heard of recently were dunlops at dyatona.

I had a set of madcams that really turned me off of michelin (for a long time). But the Pilot Powers are by far the best tire I've tried to date. When I had M1's on the bike I always said a little prayer when crossing over wet street car tracks, with the PP's I barely notice any slip...

I've had a set of super sticky Metzler ME-Z3's on my bike for the last 8k.  I had to order two different compounds, the regular (ME-Z4) for the front and the race compound (ME-Z3) for the rear to keep stock sizes.

As much as I would love to get a set of Pilots,  I can't quite bring myself to support or trust a company that can't build a tire that doesn't blow on turn 13 of the Indianapolis Formula One circuit.

8K ? I did less than 3000 km's (1875 miles) with my Supercorsa's, that's super sticky!

By the way, I'd trust Michelin above the fact of having a harder compound on the front than on the rear

I'm getting a new set of Power's tomorrow, hail to the Bib baby :beers: I'm afraid Bib will get decapitated in the first turn though

Dunlop makes tires in the correct measurements.. I have on the front a Dunlop Arrowmax costed 150EUR, but got it for 1/3rd of the price :bigok:

Be careful which dunlops you get though.  There are considerable first hand bad reports about them on one of the forums I frequent.

I had one on my front, I don't recall the model, but it's in the shed, I can go look, and it cupped long before its time, even though the tire pressures were right from the time that I got the bike.  Of course what the PO did, I have no idea.

Similarly, the dealer I deal with, said they stopped carrying Avons, because of HUGE numbers of warranty returns.

OEM sizes are 110/70/17 in the front and 150/70/17 rear.  Some manuf's don't make a 110 in their sportier tires.
