So, details:
Just noticed my math was off by 1mm.NOT 15mm, but 14mm,,,,What can I say it was tired and had been working with kids all day!
Red swingarm is from a RF 900 conversion. The braced bare aluminum is a gsxr 1100 swingarm.
The sleeves from the rf 900 willl fit inside the gsxr to allow the same picot bolt. A few mm  from each side will be removed to fit in the frame. It's at the machinist now.

It fits in the frame!..after the machining and using some of the axle spacers from the rf900. The problem is the bracing is so high it could potentially hit the subframe bu the rear motor mount.
So, some money wasted, unless I want to find a solution.
I do have a '91 gsxr 1100 swingarm that would work and thought maybe a '93/'94 "Banana" swingarm would work. But not sure what I want to do for now. ....Back to the RF 900 swinger til winter!

'93 gsxr 1100 swingarm back from machinist. Mocked up really nice....then I couldn't get the shock and links to line up. I think some machining and welding are required. Not sure if I will continue down this path.

Is it frustration or are you at the point of feeling like it's good money after bad?  If the former, I'd say sleep on it for a week or two?

Sometimes that helps my perspective.  Sometimes doesn't change the decision though. :)

Hey TJS,

I am currently accumulating parts for a 91 GSXR 1100 swing-arm swap. I think you have one too ? Mine really looks like the RF900 other than being bare aluminium. I also bought a 92 GSXR 750 rear wheel.

Have you tried aligning the sprockets so far ? Had any problems ?

One problem that I foresee is the trust arm or torque arm for the rear caliper. The bandit has an attachment point on the swing-arm itself but the gsxr one does not. I've looked at pictures of GSXR's and they attach bellow the swing-arm pivot point straight onto the frame.

I think I will do the same. Thinking about welding a plate to solidify the area and drill a pivot point bellow the swing-arm attachment point.

How are you going to proceed on yours?

Best of luck,

Max
