Title: Tail Light options
Post by: 96gti8v on May 03, 2011, 12:00:00 PM
Rebuilding the Bandit and my taillight is smashed. Any options other than a stockie off of ebay? Something like an LED or clear alternatives taillight?

Also, some wire ID is needed. Upon removing my taillight I found the PO hacked it up pretty good. I found some wires that done have anything running to them. Im assuming the Brown and Black wire are for the license plate light? but in ther second picture I found a bulb all wrapped in electical tape and taped to the frame under the tail. It looks like that same type of bulb in the taillight.

Hi
not sure if all the B4 back lights are the same , but on mine ,the number plate is lit by the back light bulb & a clear patch in the under side of the tail light plastic.

OK, just looked in the manual , and if im reading the blurry little letters correct its Brown and Black w/White stripe are the light wires.
Also the manual shows every wiring Diag having a licence bulb ( with the same color wires , fed from the back light wires ).
The White w/Black stripe is the brake light wire.

My B4 Jap import , dont have a separate bulb :(
