change the plugs first off and see if they look phucked. A lot of times that can solve the problem. Run some carb cleaner thru, maybe something that can absorb water like sea foam just in case. Don't try to turn over your bike like that because you will burn out the starter and no oil is really flowing......Also, use the choke for christ sake!
-
carbs are spakleing all fresh petrol and trying choke on and off..
-
Like Tanner said, check the plugs. Also take a look at the little brass tube on the far right side of the carbs. They have a nasty habit of snapping and that makes starting VERY difficult.
-
brand new plugs :P
brass tube hmm didnt notice one any pics? more info? whats it for?
-
air leak in the carb rubbers, or lost o-ring. checked the spark is ok; take a plug out, and see what the spark is like, strong or weak.
-
checked all the spark plugs and the caps are sparking realy good.
i do have an o ring missing but iv got a new set here ready to fit on
thanks for the help.
-
ok, found out that 3 o rings where missing lol sorted that prtoblem and replaced the reg/rec also
but its still sticking when warmed up (the revs) and its realy bad and sounds awfull when it sticks could it still be an air leak?
if i dont have all the pies conected to the tank and the breather pipe fromthe carb over the air box when i start it up could this be cousing the problem?
and the 1st cylinder isnt fireing again wich i though i had foxed last time by cleaned out the carbs ...
o and also its now got an electrical problem and the rev counter keeps going off lol :S :S
god i need help lol be good if some 1 could come and look at it for me lol :D
thnx

where are you located?
Yes, if you don't have all the hoses from your gastank connected to something, or at least plugged up that could cause problems. There are supposed to be three hoses. one for gasoline to the carbs, one to drain water from around the filler cap -- this one just drains out on the ground, and one that brings vacuum from cylinder 1 to the petcock to allow fuel to flow. If you have the tank off and are providing fuel from some other source, you need to securely plug up that vacuum hose or #1 probably won't run at all. And if #1 is running even in that condition, it would definitely be VERY lean and would tend to rev up and not rev down.
Remember to focus on ONE problem at a time or you'll get overwhelmed.

ok thanks m8.
i have got the bike starting good now just this revving problem is pissing me off. the only rerason why i dont atach the vacume pipe to the tank is that its realy small and the tank has to be almost right on the bike b4 i can reach the fuel cap,
ill go try the bike with it atached after hopefully it will solve my problem .?
thnx

#1 won't fire if it's sucking air through the vac hose - at least not well. You also won't be drawing fuel into the carbs if that's not hooked up. That hose isn't just there for it's obvious bling value. :duh:
-
ha ha i thouight it waz a breather pipe or smthing. i wondered why nothing hapened ubnless the tap waz on prime
anyway all 4 are fireing now and starting up good replaced the o ring etc etc
just a revviong problem now think the throttle cable might be shagged i duno but once iv sorted the engine problems i think need to tidy up all the wires and redo a few things.
still not bad for £400
only got 2 major problems now ,, the vibrateing whne i go over 60mph and the 2nd gear is all jerky
