Author Topic: Starter solenoid question (Read 2450 times)

Dear All,
I was replacing my wiring harness, (monkeystyle - as in removing something from the old one and clipping it onto the new one) until I lost my concentration when I got to the two wires getting into the starter solenoid (or is it the starter relay?) attached to the battery cage.

There is a yellow/green one and a black one. Could someone please letme know which of these wires gets into which port on the solenoid?

I need your help to just check on your little bandit's starter solenoid, to confirm to me which of the two wires goes where right in the middle of it.

In some books they call it the starter relay...

I need to get this done with and move on please! Knowledge is as useful as the amount of it you share with others...

Mate, most of the members of this site are in the US, fast asleep. You're going to have to hold on until they wake up.

I'd go and look at my bike, but it's 5K from where I am now.

I just looked at a picture of my bike and yellow black wire is on the left most post of the relay (if you stand facing the handle bars). The black wire with white tracer is on the right.
