Title: Throttle Cable for 1991 GSF 400
Post by: BobD1001 on December 07, 2012, 01:40:24 PM
Hi Guys,

Im a brand new member here, but already have been reading like a madman. Really awesome forum, and tons of great info.

I recently snapped the throttle cable on my GSF 400 and have been looking for replacement. I believe its P/N 58300-10D20 if my research has done me right.

I also already ordered this cable off eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/280962534680?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

It looks to have the same ends, and is approximately the same length, but the listing only said that its for GSF 600 Bandit's 95-99... should it work? Or should i pay double and order up a true 58300-10D20.

Also, what does everyone do for OEM air filters? I could a couple places selling the P/N 13781-34C10 which looks to be the updated version of our OEM filter, but are there any alternatives besides a K&N? I really don't want to do K&N after researching ti and everyone seems to say it runs lean. Plus they're expensive.

Thanks guys,
Bob

You could try UNI foam filter or cut out your own from a Uni sheet.

Im trying to bring the filter back to oem.  Previous owner added a UNI cone within the airbox,  and it is definitely ineffective and letting debris past, so I wanted to get a matching oem filter.

Hey Bob, dunno if you've found a cable yet, but I had this happen last year, this is the one I found:

It fit perfectly
