Title: Tire type for mainly street but a little trail?

Obviously not a dual purpose bike my B400.  Sometimes though I need to go up a dirt or sand driveway or trail to get where I need to go.  My current tires wash out terribly if there's any sand and I have to use my feet to keep steady.  What recommendations for tire types are recommended to help in this situation?

A lot of the supermoto guys who take their bikes off road occasionally really like the Avon Distanzia.  I don't know if they come in our sizes but you might give them a look.
