The ol' b4 was running a little rough on the way in to work this morning, but it was raining and I didn't want to stop. Pull in to my spot in the garage, shut it off and hear the "chirr" of the starter motor. Oh no, starter switch was stuck on the whole ride in... :banghead:

I tried it. nope. I was all geared up and dripping wet, so I didn't spend time poking it, but I could hear it try to engage and see the lights dim from the power drain, but no spinny.  :-(

phew. not the starter motor. looks like I just burned out the relay :)

The starter motor is permanently engaged, there's no solenoid to punch it in. There's some sort of clutch to stop it being wound all the time. So its not burned out from running!
