this is a quick question for those that know better than me.

my bandit 400vp had its oil changed a few days back and out of the engine came some orange goo (no ideas what that was) a large amount of water then the oil, any ideas where the water could have come from?

Do you drive a lot of short distances? That's when you can get water in your oil. Use a full synthetic oil next time, it's better in every imaginable way

Are you sure its just water? Do you still have coolant in your overflow reservoir?

the bikes been sat in my garden for 8 months and hasnt been ridden in that time. i dont know about coolant levels as the bike is yet to be returned by the bike shop that was supposed to fix it.

If you really want to make sure all the water is out, put some seafoam in the oil. It bonds to the water so that it isn't gonna hurt the bike. It will also take it outta your gas and act as a fuel stabilizer. That stuff rocks.

It's also good on toast!
