When you do a carb sync? I'm thinking about trying using a pair of vice grips to pinch the hose. Anybody got a better idea??
-
Put a screwdriver in it, an allen wrench, a bolt, anything goes.
-
I just fold it over and clamp it with a binder clip.

I went to golf town and picked up some golf tee's (the smallest quantity I could get was 65...). I'm gonna give it a run tomorrow.

I don' understand why you would need to plug the vacume lines to the carbs unless your talking about the fuel tank vacuum line
yep :stickpoke:
i just have a vacuum line and fuel line which are long enough, so i can put my tank on the rear seat and sync the carbs with the tank still attached

I don't get it? Removing the tank takes about 30 seconds. What's the big deal? :stickpoke:

I just take the tank off. It's two only 2 hoses on the 400. It's darn near impossible to get at the screws on the carb even with the tank off. If I have a helper I'll sometimes just left the tank off. But most of the times I remove it and sync the carbs before the float bowls run low. I like to think of it like a race.
I used the golf tee today and it works great. Bikes running loads better now. I also found my air leak. I've been using the stock air filter and some how it shrank? there was like a 1/4" gap where air was just coming straight through all the way around.
