Title: What type of lube for chain?

About the only new thing that's come along since then is DuPont has come out with a universal Teflon spray that can be found in the Tool Dept @ Lowe's Hardware (maybe other places now, too?). Some folks really like this stuff, others don't... like any other chain lube I suppose.

Do not buy anything saying 'special for motorcycle chains' because it is the same crap as other stuff but you pay extra for the 'motorcycle' bullshit :wink: Industrial stuff is very cheap and it actually works because the manufacturers sell a lot more to the industry so they want to make good stuff.

Post by: Russtang on February 27, 2006, 03:02:16 PM: I've been using white lithium grease in an aerosol can. Goes on a little thicker than most spray lube I've used in the past & doesn't fling.

Got it at Harbor Freight for $4 a can. :grin: Says it works for chains on the side of the can.
