If i was to put it in and try to start the bike and it turned out to be the wrong cdi it wouldnt do any harm would it?

nope, if it doesnt work it will probably just dont give a spark.

Hey Forde (or anyone else who might know),

Did you have any luck with the RF400 cdi in a Bandit 400?  I've got one kicking about here and would like to know if I can keep it as a spare.

I'll give it a try (32900 21E60) and see how I get on but any experiences on this would be appreciated.

They should be the same the motors are almost the same, maybe wire variances same as the b4

Thanks.  Just to check, because I'm new at these things: I won't damage anything by plugging in the CDI and trying to start the bike?

I guess that will definitely give an answer either way!
