I am having an issue where my B4 will not idle in the rain unless the choke is on. If it is dry out no problems idles without any issues. if i go out riding in the rain however it will stall out when i go to stop unless the choke is on. Any thoughts on what might be wrong

I'd start looking at a couple of areas:
1. Check the vent hoses from the bottom of the carbs and the drain hose from the airbox. If they are missing or pointed forward or toward either of the wheels, water could be working it's way up into the airbox or carbs. Check the hose routing.
2. Check the air box and snorkle area. Could you be missing some of the rear fender? Maybe your throwing water from the rear wheel up into the airbox.

Where should the vent hose for the carbs be?
I checked the drain hose for the airbox and it is pointing strait down.
Rear fender looks like it is all there but will check it out more carefully when i get home.

Took a look at the manual to see where the carb vent hose should be and it does not look like i have one. Could not having this hose be what is causing the problem?

I had a similar problem of not starting on foggy days. It seemed related to the small hoses coming off the bottom air input for the carbs. They had small pieces of hose plugged with screws. I removed the hoses and put proper caps on them and the problem cleared up.

Also check your sparkplug wires. Mine were sparking to the frame when wet.
