So I'm starting to slowly put my new (err, '91) B400 into running condition... and having drained the tank, the gas that came out has a yellow tint to it... like someone peeed into the tank. Does that mean the tank is rusty, or did the gas just sit in the bike for too long and "decompose" or whatever? Thanks for suggestions!

Regular gas is usually slightly yellow. Unless its bright yellow I wouldn't worry about it. With a rusty tank the gas would come out more orangey. If you're really concerned about rust in the tank, get a flash light and have a look inisde.

Slightly Yellow? This stuff Looks Exactly Like Pee. :) Well, I poured it all out and will be replacing it with new fuel, so we'll see.

Older gas will have a yellower tint.

My lawnmower gas starts out clear and eventually yellows as it ages (a fresh gallon every two months or so). This is also in a polyethylene container, not a metal one.
