Title: '01 GSF600S - Holeshot Stage 1 install
Post by: sidefly on January 30, 2017, 03:51:41 PM
Hello All!  New member here...

I have searched the forum pretty extensively to learn from past mistakes or learn tips.  However, I would really appreciate anyone chiming in to tell me specific gotchas to watch for.

By the way, I am keeping my stock exhaust but planning on the new jets, spacers, and timing advance.

Is this going to be worth the trouble???

Thanks!
Sidefly

You won't really notice much of a difference with the stock exhaust.  I ran my Stage 1 with the stocker for about 10 miles.  Switched to an aftermarket pipe and it really woke things up.  Gas mileage went way up too.  Personally, I'd be on the lookout for another pipe soon.

I've got everything installed, and I even bought a Black Widow exhaust (300mm) from the euro maker.  Bike seems to run really well!
