I got a set of Pistons off Ebay for my 97 Bandit , turns out that they are for the  91- 92  1100 GSXR  12-1 not 11-1 !!!

  If I use theses will it run ok on pump gas?
  Are there some shims that I could  use on the gaskets ? ( head or block)

the normal J&E 1216 pistons are 13.5 to 1. The GSXR 1216 and Bandit 1216 pistons are the same. 12 to 1 should run good on the street.
I run 13 to 1, 1246cc, on pump gas.
