Coils and/or plug wires would be my first guess.

Similar to Red01, I would start with electrical.

1. Check the plug caps for any cracks, loose connections, both to the plugs as well as caps to plug wires.

2. Check the wires over carefully, looking for any cracks, etc.

3. Have another look at the plugs themselves. Maybe just a bad plug. (unusual, but it can happen). The bag plug will likely look bad compared to the others.

4. Check all the connections to the coils, as well as the coil mounting.

After that, it may be time to start testing coils...

Let us know what you find.

If it runs fine to 8K RPM with out any missing, I would have the ECU and connectioins checked first. Then go with the other recommedations
