Crankcase will be full of gas too. Oil change immediatly. You didn't list what bike you have, so I will assume it is a second gen with a vacuum operated petcock. The petcock leaked or was left on the PRI setting (prime) combined with a leaking needle and seat in at least one carb, which is not that uncommon, you get a soaked airbox, usually the air filter, and a crankcase full of oil and fuel mix. Beware that you may have a cylinder full of fuel as well. Pull the plugs before you crank it over and BE CAREFUL not to catch it on fire (isolate the spark plugs). If you have an earlier bike turn off the petcock when you park it and consider a carb cleaning soon.
