Exhaust Can

Hi

I have found an ART carbon race can for sale.  It is for a 98 Bandit 1200.  Does anyone know if this will fit a K1 Bandit.

Does it bolt to the stock midpipe, or does it come with it's own?

If it bolts to the stock flange, no, if it has it's own midpipe, yes.

Hi

Thanks for the help.  It looked like it bolted direct to the stock flange.  I decided against it anyhow as the person was not able to advise delivery charge to Channel Islands before bidding ended.

Cheers

If you really want to be safe and have more power get a slip on, it will always work for a 2G Bandit as long as the pipe is for the Bandit of course.

Thx rider123

I have been looking at a G-Force, but would need to get a link pipe and bracket.  Are you able to recommend any websites that I could get these from.  Also, are they a good make?  I have read somewhere that they are.

Cheers

There are a couple of local solutions like the "Carbon Can Company".

http://www.carboncan.co.uk/

These have a slip on solution for the Bandit 1200 that I hear good things about. Don't bother with the carbon fibre model just get the stainless or titianium if you have deep pockets. They have alot of Ebay specials going on for very nice prices. I think the base stainless slipon was around 110 quid on sale on ebay but the shipping would have been hell to Canada so I went with a muzzy. Check ebay for these guys. Type in "Bandit 1200" or "bandit 1200 + slip on" in ebay. They ship anywhere in the UK priority royal mail.

You can also order a powder coated one if you really want to maximize the "schtick"
