Hey guys...
I'm looking at exhaust options this winter.
Anybody using this slip-on on their 2nd Gen B6 or B12? "Leo Vince SBK Stainless Oval Slip-On With Aluminum Muffler Sleeve"
I'm sure the performance is fine for the little 600, what I'm really want to know is:
1. How does it look? I assume from the photo's that it is NOT polished but is a brushed aluminium finish on the can, and a polished finish on the Stainless mid pipe? How is the finish?
2. How is the general construction and fit? Were you happy with how it fit on? Connections OK? Fits on factory header OK?
3. Any room for bags? Or will I have to make up a new hanger? Will it have enough "movement" to allow me to space it down if required.
4. Does it have the fittings necessary to retain the centre stand?
I looked on their web site, but not much info. The option is a Holeshot pipe, which looks like it may fit the needs better, but it costs about $100 more (full 33%).

Are you talking about the EVO II slip-on ? If yes, here is my experience. Remember I have a B12 though:
1- In my opinion it looks great, it indeed is brushed aluminum, I believe the midpipe is also brushed.... I'll verify to make sure...**UPDATE** I did and I confirm the midpipe is also brushed aluminum.
2- Fit was great, everything went through without a hitch. Everything is supplied along with instructions.
3- I did not test it, but I think it stands about the same height as the stock exhaust but it is shorter and narrower... I guess the pics will give you an idea...
4- Yes, it does.

Yup...that's the one. And your link is a few bucks better price than what Dennis Kirk wants. I'm still deciding, as the Holeshot one looks great as well, and I am considering a full Hindle system, c/w head pipes (for no good reason :duh:)

Don't forget to consider shipping cost...
Kneedraggers shipping cost were the lowest I could find...(to Canada, that is)
And USPS shipping, although slower, is less subject to custom fees than FedEx or UPS for instance...

I got my B12 K4 with the carbon finish SBK slip-on already fitted. No re-jetting had been done. Later I replaced it with the original exhaust to compare the two alternatives.
In my view the motor runs a bit lean in the lower rev range with the slipon. The high end feels stronger. If I choose to put the Leo Vince back on I will fit a jet kit to compensate for the lean low end mixture.
The SBK adds good looks and lovely sound to the bike, no doubt about that !

From what I have seen of Leo, they are one of the more expensive brands out there. I got a holeshot high mount and I like it. A friend of mine who is now on the board added a Viper slip on that he got off of Ebay. It sounds decent and it was cheap. $200 for a bolt on.

the USPS is good advice.
UPS will ding you big time on brokerage and those customs bastards will add duty and taxes.

I just looked and there are tons of slip-ons for 2nd Gen 1200's on Ebay (Ebay stores like JC Cycle, etc) right now. Some pretty good prices on full systems as well.

The key issue as always is whether or not it will fit with hard cases, unfortunately I don't think so from photo comparisons it as well as a Yosh Oval will hit the OEM side cases as there is only 1 inch clearance between the stock can and the side cases. As you can see the proximity to the license plate bracket cans there is a defiantly more then 1 inch lost. I have since heard that someone was able to force fit a Leo can without properly having the mid pipe bent, but I learned long ago that force fitting is just a future crack or failure.

I ordered the Leo Vince SBK Slip-on from Dennis Kirk for under $295, shipped to Phoenix, as we were there on vacation, and I had some other stuff I wanted from Dennis Kirk. Fit in my extra suitcase fine, and back accross the border with no duty or tax from the customs guys...
So...I have it home and quickly unpacked it, but I have not fitted it, or even looked at it near the bike yet. Brushed aluminium finish is NOT as nice looking as the Holeshot cans, but truly, this was the budget way for me to get a new slip-on, about $290 Canadian, FOB Cranbrook, all tax and title included.
A new Hindle direct from Lange Hindle, would have been well over $450 + taxes, and even the Holeshot would have been more than the Leo Vince...so Leo Vince it is.
I will post some pictures once it is on, but my silver 600S will look pretty close to the naked 1200 shown above. I am curious as to how it will fit with the Kappa Hard bags, but I will get it to fit regardless.

Leo vince evo 2 is most common exhaust (gsf 1250 model) in finland .(maybe hole europa)
It is made by Italy and because that it's cheaper than akrapovic or yoshimura.
I have seen Leo useing rr-race too.
You must adjust injection if you chance exhaust.Bike takes not more casoline after that.
It's giving abouth 10 hp and 10 Nm more power.
