Adjustable Cam Sprokets
« on: June 05, 2007, 11:25:39 PM »
Does anyone know who makes adjustable cam sprockets  for a B12. I know Yoshi do a set of cams with adjustable sprockets but only want the sprockets.

I can't recall but did the 89 GSXR1100 have the same cam sprockets as the B12 or were they using a different cam chain to the B12.

 :thanks:

APE Racing has them.  :bandit:
You've gotta use B12 specific sprockets due to the cam chain.

Ta. I thought the GSXR had a different kind of chain. A few of the GSXR1100 sprockets turn up on Fleabay pretty often and hoped to get cheap  set that way.

Take your stock sprockets to a machine shop and have the holes slotted.

Keep in mind, when you slot your sprockets, you will need a degree wheel and a dial indicator or top dead center stop, to set the cams.

I will get the guy doing my head to degree for me. He is apparantly "An old suzuki nut" according to my tyre man.

We are doing things a little different 750 head ported with maybe oversize valves. 750 intake cam and 1100 exhaust cam. Most bits from the wreckers just to make it a funner project.

Cam timing is still a bit up in the air. We will probably be somewhere between stock B12 and the 750 Hop up figures.

We make the Bandit sprockets. They are different than GSXR sprockets.
