Just curious has anyone swapped to a better swing arm/shock set up for a 01 B6 ? I have seen a few GSXR swing arms on Ebay thought maybe it would be a better improvement.
Thanx as always.

"Better" & "improved" as in how?
Not sure how various GSXR arms will work, but the B12 arm will swap.

Well my thoughts are a stiffer arm makes for better feed back & such, as you ride.. in that line of thought the braced arms from the gsxr would be a improvement.. the other thing is.. I am also thinking of going to a set of lighter wheels .. the market seems to have a wide choice for lighter gsxr wheels, but nothing for the gsf. But I am just very curious what would swap over ? I might do a complete rear swap from a gsxr 750.. swing arm, wheel & shock.
once more my bike is a 01 gsf 600s
thanx

I can understand the want for a better rear shock, but I haven't really heard much complaint of the B6's steel swingarm flexing.
I'm pretty sure the wheels are shared with other Suzukis - maybe in different colors, but an aftermarket wheel shouldn't be a big deal, as long as you don't mind spending the $$$. I know Bill Blade put aftermarket wheels on his B12 and didn't have trouble finding them, but at ~$3000 (for the ones he bought), I can think of better things to spend my money on... but then he'd already dropped in a 1216 kit and smoothbores, so he had that end covered, too.

The B6 has its limitations on what its going to achieve. You can start dumping large amounts of $$ into it, but your actual gains will be limited. You'll never see that money come resale time. Try the inexpensive mods first and see how you like it; B12 rear shock, progressive springs with new oil in forks, and some good radials. You can get this done for under $400 and I think you'll like the results.

I put a swing arm from a 89 GSXR 1100 on my 98 B12 while my B12 swing arm was sent off to be extended. The pivot point on the GSXR arm is 1/2 inch to wide and had to be machined off, 1/4 in. on each side. I them had to use the bearings and spacer from my B12 arm to make it work. The GSXR arm is 1-1/2 inches longer than the B12 arm.
