I developed some leaks at the valve cover so I ordered new gaskets, while everything was apart I thought I might as well check the valves. While rotating the engine I noticed there was a good bit of slack in one spot on the cam chain. I thinking it has to be noise I have been hearing lately. Its weird that its only in one spot on the chain. Does anyone have any ideas I can try to get that spot back to the correct tension.

Chains wear in weird ways. Worn drive chains always have a slack side and so it is with timing chains. The only way to get back to the correct tension is to replace the timing chain. If the timing chain was worn out you would hear it making a noise like a lot of loose change rattling around the engine.
