Title: Choke/Enrichener Probs
Post by: Honest-Al on May 28, 2007, 03:43:32 AM
Just got a new "Final Edition" 1200S Bandit and love it!!
Have only one problem. The choke/enrichener handle is so hard to pull that I am araid to break it!
I have been starting without the choke for now but would like to use it.
Any ideas why it's so stiff?

I'd look at the cable routing to be sure it isn't kinking up somewhere. If that's OK, lube the cable.

Another thing to check is pull the enricheners by hand at the carbs and see hard that is to pull. There should be a steel bar that connects all four carbs on the top front. If it is to hard then enrichener pistons may be gummed up with varnish from dried gas.
