Waiting For the Mail...and spring
« on: March 26, 2008, 08:17:52 PM »
I seriously considered getting a Holeshot stage2 jet kit with pods but Dale himself recommended that I keep with the stage1 and just tweak the fuel screws a bit...so I ordered the PAIR block off kit and fender extender. It was fun explaining to Liza that I wanted the extender for the B12.5 and not the B12...she was wondering if I had one of each bike but I explained that the 06 has the 05 engine and the 07 bodywork. I also ordered a pair of Bikemaster superbike bars in black. All the stuff should be here in about two weeks...just about the same time its going to be warm enough to ride again. Will post some pics when its all back together

Hey I am in Edmonton as well and also have a red 06 Bandit! Just put in the stage 1 holeshot this weekend. Great stuff and the PAIR block off is beautiful. I painted mine with high temp black before installing, blends in a bit better.

Did you get yours from Alberta Cycle? When did you pick it up? Do you have a pipe on it as well?

I saw a guy riding a newer red B650 (very slowly) on my way home a few times last summer...he was literally doing 10k UNDER the speed limit

Lets see if we can meet up over the season...great photo op

Yup got the black 17" Street Core. I picked up my bike in St Albert at Riverside Yamaha Suzuki. I have a 1200 so I wasn't the slow poke! Love the idea of a photo op sometime this season. Lets keep in touch.

Mounted the new bars today...installed are the Bikemaster Superbike bars with ProGrip Gel Superbike grips:

Here is the difference in rise:

Here is the difference in pullback:

I am canted a little more forward and the bars are slightly wider...feels really good in the driveway. I hope to go for a ride tomorrow to try 'em out
