Title: Corbin seat stuck FML
Post by: elbanditomd on August 11, 2010, 05:13:23 PM
So I have a 99 1200s with a corbin seat and i took my seat off when I put it back on i didnt slide the front in first  :banghead: so when I went to go take it off it was stuck, and ive bent one key trying to turn the lock but the seat is just stuck on there. I have tried prying it wiggling it having someone sit on it ( both heavy and light people) lift it while I turn lubing the lock and nothing. I wondered if there is a trick or some way to do it without cutting the seat ( but I still have the stock one so I can at least ride till I order another corbin..... its just so damn comfortable ) any ideas ?

Try taking the rear wheel and undertail/wheelwell off and mess with it from under there maybe...

also if you turn the key to unhook it and punch down where the latch is they release as well, had this happen to mine as well

While turning the key push up on the helmet hook to release

you actually need to push the seat towards the back of the bike while turning the key.  Don't pull up on it at all, just push it backwards.
