Will a 92 1127 cylinders fit in place of the 1157?

I am 99.9% sure that it will, but the 1157 will not fit the 1127 without boreing the cases.

According to Old Skool Suzuki's (http://oldskoolsuzuki.info/) Frankenstein's Guide to Oil Cooled Monsters (click on the "Seven-Eleven" link on the front page, then scroll down to Frankenstein), the 1157 block will fit the 1127. Never tried it myself, but seems reasonable since there's only a 1mm difference in the bore. Doesn't seem like Suzuki would go to the trouble to make a new set of cases for that.

The steel cylinder sleeve that goes into the top case is also 1mm larger O. D. I am pretty sure that I checked the case bore on the 1127/1216 that I am helping a friend build, and the Bandit block would not fit and he didn't want to split the cases so the case could be bored.

If you've tried it, you should know, I'm just going by a guide.

Just seems odd Suzuki would have done that since so much of everything else is old parts from some variation of one 1127 or another.

So, it is ok to put a 1127 cylinder on the 1157 crank case?  :thanks: The point behind this is, I found a 1127  jug already bord to a 1216.

I'm wondering if it would be the right thing to do... If the 1157 block won't fit in the 1127 case, is the block getting indexed from the sleeves? If so, you wouldn't want to put the loose sleeves of the 1127 in the 1157 block.
If there's no indexing from the sleeves, then it wouldn't matter.

Lost out on the bid so, now I`ll just get mine bored will I`m ready. I just thought it would nice to have all the parts ready and put it together without a lot of down time.

As for the 1127 block on the Bandit case. The blocks are located by dowel pins in the case, not the sleeve spigots. So an 1127 block would line up perfectly, so would a 1052.
