Anyone know what the thread pitch and size is on the cylinder bolts?
I know what the lengths are, just thread pitch and side are all i need, thanks!
-
I couldn't find it in the book, but I believe that it is 10mm 1.5 pitch. I will try to find one in my junk pile and measure it.
-
I have one in my hands.
The stud thread O. D. is 10 mm. there are 4 threads in 5 mm length, so 5 divided by 4 = 1.25, so it is 10mm by 1.25 pitch.
I used my calipers to measure, and all I really needed to do was look at my tap :annoy:

hmmm, who to believe here...I didn't know you could measure it that way, I have them here, If I would have known that I would have just measured myself, guess you learn something new everyday!
Thanks guys!

If you haven't got a thread gauge easiest way is to take a rear sprocket nut off and try it on the stud thread, they're M10x1.25, if it doesn't fit then it will be 1.5 . Don't think I've come across a standard M10x1.5 on the bike they all seem to be the fine 1.25 - engine mounts, torque arm, rear sprocket etc etc.

I have a Heli-coil kit for the studs on my B12, and it is
10 x 1.25 mm.

All of the Suzukis are 10 X 1.25. Some Kawasakis are 10 X 1.5 on the case end.
We manufacture heavy duty studs for all of these motors.

Well, I called up gsxrzone and was told you guys didn't make a kit for the bandit motor, so I did a custom order from ARP, I did get the nuts from you guys though.
Now, can someone tell me why some of the stock nuts are acorn style and other are the normal open style?
And also why the manual says to only put lock-tite on the #7 stud?

Do you know the length of your oem studs? They should be the same length as 1127 GSXR which we make.
e-mail me the lengths and quantity of each.

It has been confirmed. Our part number CS1127 fits the 1200 Bandit.
