Title: difference in gsf1200s 98 to 00thru04

hey; confused newbie with ? about b12s I have a 98 gsf1200 ordered a base gkt. got one for gsf1200  00 thru 04, what is diff in years. also been seeing posts that remark about oil burners, mostly 01 02s is their a problem with the newer bandits?  thanks for help

I would guess the gaskets would be the same.  Try Bike Bandit online, look at illustrated parts breakout and compare part numbers, or call you local dealer.

The oil burners had to do with defective pistons.  The holes for oil ring were too big on run of Bandits.  All covered under factory service bulletin.
