Title: Dynojet kit and some mods
Post by: NIGHTRIDER on July 04, 2005, 11:03:16 PM
Hi guys. I need some info on the Dynojet kit. Is it really good? Because here in Brazil i can't buy the Holeshot or Ivan's kit. Oh, and if the airbox snorkel removal is indicated running with a slip on and K&N filter :thanks:

Hi, I have the Dyno jet kit, I like it but with the recomended settings it ripped but fuel milage sucked! I ended up shimming the stock needles .040" and using the dynojet mains and springs. Milage is back up and it runs great, this is with the stock air box and a slip on.

I know Holeshot will ship internationally and has shipped to Brazil. I think Ivan's does too, but check with him to be sure.

I have a Dynojet kit and full Yosh exhaust.  Power is great; 2nd gear moonshots if I try and the frontend dances in 3rd.  The mileage sucks!  I went from about 50mpg to 40.  I think it may have something to do with Dynojet instructions putting the floats at a near "flood the carbs" measurment.

Since I traded work for the kit and exhaust, no real money was out of pocket and I'm glad I didn't spend the money ;)
Were I to do it again, I'd build my own kit with shims and cut a hole in the airbox, get a new mid pipe made out of stainless tubing and either mod/gut the stock can or find a cheap slipon.
