Title: Fairing brace
Post by: Soro on May 11, 2006, 06:15:01 PM
Would a 2G Bandit 600's fairing brace fit a 2G 1200's frame. The part numbers are a little different but the headlight number's are the same. I don't need the fairings to fit the frame because I'm fabing something else to it. I just need the clocks, headlight, and where the fairing brace connects to the head tube to fit.

Anyone got knowledge about this?

The two are not quite interchangable. I know from experience. The main bolt receiver on the fairing frame for the 600, will not fit over the receiver that is welded to the front of the MC frame. I actually put a 600 fairing on my B12.

It took a torch and lots of pounding and cussing to make it work. By the time I forced it to fit, I had caused other parts of the fairing frame to go out of square with the MC frame. Then I was left to fix that. I did it but I would not try it again.

I have a B12 fairing brace for a 2G. I was going to re-mount my fairing but I didn't have it in me to tear it apart again. PM me if you need it and we'll work something out.

Hell to da naw.....I know from experience it WILL NOT FIT
Now you can make a B12 brace fit a B6 since it has a smaller notch on the frame but you still have to bend it and it's still not a snug fit

I'll tell you no also, because you're probably looking at the auction on Ebay (which is mine) so don't waste your time or money
