Gas over $3.oo a gallon! Smaller sprocket on the rear?

You guys think your having it bad but my fuel costs the equivalent of $8.6 per us gallon. That is what ia call a rip off.

I do not know, but I would bet, that most of that is taxes.
Is BP the main gasoline supplier, and is BP state owned?

It is mainly taxes but we've still gotta pay it.

We'll see on this tank how my milage is with the "stage 3" stuff added to my bike.  It was running crappy before but I was getting better milage than I was on my 05 FZ6 (fuel injected and half the cc's).  My "cycle" is mostly highway with some city driving and the FZ6's stock gearing meant 7-8k on the tach at freeway speeds on the Houston Autobahn.  I was running a steady 40mpg on the FZ, regardless of if I behaved or not.  Bandit was returning 45-48mpg before it was in the shop.  
The wife's bike, due to some crazy gearing, gets 50mpg+.  Its not nearly as fast as a bandit (or the fz-6) but it'll embarrass  any cruiser on the road aside from the valk, v-rod and v-max.  Downside to the gearing: gotta downshift at 70mph to get any real acceleration.

I checked my mpg yesterday; it was less than 30.  It's probably due to the cold starts I've been dealing with, (ie cleveland weather), and the city driving.

I use my B12 for commuting, its way better on gas than my mustang was!!! and mine gets between 34-39mpg depending on whether its more city or more hwy. Thats also WAY better than my Vmax ever got!!!

Agreed :)  I did get 40mpg ONCE on it.  That was on the sedated peaceful ride up to the trace to meet up with a group to ride the trace.  My milage dropped significantly on the return tank.
