Title: Gen2 Bandit 600 swingarm swaps??
Post by: RISINSON18 on October 24, 2008, 05:23:27 PM
I have found numerus topics that talked about swingarm swaps but no one has mentioned which types.
So...What swingarms are compatible with the G2 bandit 600????
thanks!

Likely the easiest is the 2G 1200 aluminim swingarm...

From an appearance standpoint, the 1200 swingarm looks a little different, but not enough to really notice, unless your a Bandit guy.

If your trying to reduce the weight of our lovely little 600s, the basic frame is pretty heavy, exhaust is VERY heavy, forks, triple clamps and wheels are heavy, etc. Not an easy bike to get the weight down on, but then, it is pretty reliable little bike due to some of those components.

Thanks "pmackie."

Dose any one know of any other modifications were you switch swingarms with perhaps a gsxr swingarm? i know you can do it with the shocks on some of them with little to no modification. but instead of taking just the suspension, how about replaicing the hole rear?

From what I've seen over the years of being in the Bandit community is a swingarm swap from a non-Bandit is going to involve fabrication as most of the sport bikes swingers are wider.
There are some aftermarket arms available, but be prepared to spend.
