Title: Headlight wiring connectors
Post by: RDUBandit on January 28, 2008, 10:29:33 AM
OK, I'm no great mechanic, but I'm no dummy either.  Or so I thought.

How the hell do you unplug the headlight wiring from the headlight ('04 1200S)?  The Clymer manual doesn't describe how to do this, probably because it's so straightforward.   :annoy:

I thought it would be better to ask than to force it and break it.  Can anyone help me out?

There's got to be a little tab that needs to be pushed up to unlock it.... I know I've done it before because I've completely removed the headlight from the bike and tore it open.  If no one else posts up with a definitive answer I'll look at mine tonight and get back to you.

Hey, I had a roommate in grad. school from Tyler, TX.  Tommy Knight.  He'd be about 40 years old now.  :beers:

It was so easy...I'm embarrassed!!  There's a little clip at the bottom.  I pushed a small flathead screwdriver in the clip, lifted gently and pulled the connector apart...viola!!

Thanks guys!!
