Title: Help with brake squeal.
Post by: NCBANDIT on June 12, 2005, 05:09:35 PM
My rear brakes are driving me insane, they started squealing and I replaced the pads with ebc. The squealing was still there, there is slight grooving in the disc but nothing major. Pulled all clips and backing plates just to see if that was it, no luck. Lubed everything with brake lube from autozone, didn't help. Any ideas guys?
Thanks, Josh

Did the squeak go away at all with the new pads, or only with the new pads?
Do they squeak all the time, or only when you're using said brake?

The squeak stayed about the same with the new pads, and it only does it when using the brake. I just went back and checked ron ayers site and they are HH pads if that tells you anything. Any help is greatly appreciated. Josh

HH pads sound like very hard pads? ...and hard pads always tend to squeal.
Try softer pads with a coating of copperslip behind them
