Hindle headers
« on: March 12, 2006, 11:08:40 PM »
I am looking at a set of new Hindle headers & midpipe for my '03 1200. They are brand new and I can get them for a good price.

I was wondering if anyone knew if it was a worthwhile investment as I am about to purchase a Yoshi can (I had planned on a bolt-on, but would need to go to a slip-on) and am interested to know if there will be any real gain.

Fast Larry did a Bandit header shootout a couple years ago and the Hindle was ranked #1 on both a stock and a modded bike...
You may want to look into a Hindle can to go on the header. 1) the header is tuned for it, 2) it's usually cheaper than Yosh, and 3) it's as good a product as any other namebrand.

I have a Brock Davidson (STREET SMART SYSTEM). The whole system only weighs 8lbs. The header and midpipe are stainless and the can is titanium. I like it alot and it sounds great. Hindle systems are usually quiter, than most full systems. I don't think you can put a Hindle can on another system. If you have a Dennis Kirk metrice bike catalog take a look.

Hey zee, Did you notice much performance gain with the whole system? I`m torn between buying a full hindle or just buying a header to complete my rs3 yosh. It looks like brocks gives alot more ground clearance.
It is what it is and thats all it is till it is no more

I had a Holeshot exhaust and a D&D before I got the Hindle, the Hindle gives the most ground clearance and the best performance of the three.
I gained 2 to 3 tenths in the quarter, the Hindle over the Holeshot.
If I didn't have a Suzuki, I would have a Kawasaki

I agree with BHolland. The whole Brock Davidson system weighs about as much as just the Holeshot header. I'm not a drag racer, but the throttle response with the Hindle was much smoother. I did have the older Holeshot system so I'm sure the new comp is better. Also the Brock Davidson (STREET SMART SYSTEM),  the header is stainless and the can is titanium. I don't think there is a lighter system with more ground clearance out there. Although some might have more bling. Oh I forgot, it sounds great.

Well I bought the headers and decided to compliment them with a Hindle can. It sounds and looks gorgeous and has been a massive weight saving over the stock system.

All up it cost me $695US.
The headers I got off eBay brand new for $230 as the guy who bought them sold his Bandit engine shortly after he got them and the can was only $465 down from $645 as the dealer was saying that they wanted to get rid of them as they are no longer selling because everyone wants a Yoshi.
