Ok as the most knowlegable board I need to ask some advice. I have a 2001 Back 1200 Bandit.
1. I have noticed that I have to press the starter two or three times to get it to start. any ideas? other than that it start and runs fine.
2. I'm thinking of changing to an interfrated tail light...how hard is the wiring?
Thanks all!

Are you opening the choke? Does this symptom repeat if you restart after the engine is fully warmed up?
-
yup chokes on and it happens even after its been running all day. Could it be the spark plugs?
-
How old is the battery, notice you've got a 2000. Also double check all connections are tight and clean.

i have to check...today i noticed there a knocking in the engine. Just started! i wonder if its related to the slow start!
I guess i need to check the plugs too.
By checking the connectors, do you mean the battery?
Thanks

exactly, sorry I wasn't clear. I knew what I was thinking of, glad you figured it out.

Update!
I noticed a knocking in the engine and decided to change the oil and the spark plugs. Now when I start it, it will only run with the choke on. The knock is gone but if i take off the choke or let it run for a couple minutes it dies.I did have the tank off to change the plugs.
Thanks for the help!
