Jetting a stock 2G 600
« on: February 25, 2007, 07:50:03 PM »
Any of you guys rejetted your 600?

Mine engine and exhaust are stone stock. I have just finished drilling the pilot plugs and will start at 2.5 turns out (manual says stock is 1-7/8, but mine varied from 1.0 to 2-1/4). I have installed 0.52mm shims under the needles. Mains are stock at #92 and pilots are stock at #35.

I'm mostly trying to improve the dip in the powerband between 5-6500 rpm.

If you rejetted with a stock pipe and airbox did you notice an improvement and did you change the mains to a larger size?

If I go to an aftermarket exhaust, I would go with Ivan's jet kit, but I'm looking for a slight improvement with the stock exhaust.
