Yer well after reading "Cracked Cam bearing cap" http://forums.banditalley.net/viewtopic.php?t=1498
and saying to myself I wont do that, guess what.
And after a few PM's with land_shark who had done this, I have also had to make a new top for my cam bearing. Will be making the unit this week to fix my bike before my world tour of the USA.
So here goes nothing.
Anybody now if I would need to use a particular type of Alu bar to make it from :crybaby: ?

Don't know what land_shark used, but my guess is any alloy strong enough to hold the small amount of torque for the cover bolt and not deform when the bearing cap bolts are torqued. That should be just about any alloy (2024, 6061, 7076, etc.) with a heat treat of T3 or better.
