I just did a track today on my Bandit. I was going good and wasn't passed even once. But going into the hairpin I lost my front brakes. :yikes: Got it slowed and brake fluid is all over the front of the bike. It's leaking at the banjo on the right front caliper. I nursed it home on the rear brake. It's not loose but it's leaking.
I just had the brake fluid changed. Not sure what to make of it. it has stainless lines. The bleeder is fine. It's the brake line fitting on the caliper. :stickpoke:
I am heading to Ark at the end of the month. Thank goodness it wasn't on the road. :duh:

Ooch...that could have been serious!! :yikes:
Check the aluminium crush washers on each side of the fitting. New ones should have been installed with the new stainless lines. Buy some new ones and look the old ones over carefully when you take things apart. Look for possible cracks and/or some contamination that got stuck when things were reassembled.
Let us know what you find, because I would really like to know.

thanks!

those Russell stainless lines split.
:yikes:

Wow..... musta been some load on them. :trustme:
Glad you made it through safely.... I never heard of that happening before.

there must be a million Russell lines out there. Not sure why it split. Shouldn't happen.
when I get more info I'll pass it on.
I was in a rhythm and was using the brakes firmly but smoothly, I wasn't abusing them.
