I just read about a product called the Metisse G-Pack that is claimed to enhance acceleration and power delivery in second and third gears by remapping the ignition module.  It is claimed to be a "plug and play" modification with no downside.  Has anyone out there actually used one of these?  If so, what is your assessment?

It's intended for use on European-spec bikes, is my understanding.  Bypasses some sort of EU restrictions on motorbikes.  You wouldn't use it in the States.  You didn't mention where you're located.

Somebody chime in and correct me if I'm remembering wrong.

This has been covered a few times before, so if you search the site, you can get more details, but FWIW, the EU, UK and other market models that DO have the restriction can get rid of it by clipping a wire. These details are in one of those threads.
