I have never seen this for bikes but I have seen the MSD ignitions in hot rods and the owners swear by them.  Might be a great idea.

I have seen them on some bikes at the strip, but have never ran the MSD. I have the Dyna 2000 on my Bandit. It makes the ignition tunable and gets rid of the rev limiter.
Not really of any value on a stock 1200 motor, I don't think.
