For my 2006 Bandit S >>> I am open for your suggestions regarding new tires. I need to replace them this winter.

Wanna give us a reminder of your riding needs? Do you do a lot of commuting, or touring, or aggressive sport riding? How you ride makes a difference.
For example, I do a lot of commuting and long-days of touring, so I like my longer-wearing Michelin Roads, which have been upgraded to a new Road2, which I will try when I next replace tires. The Road2 has two layers of rubber, with softer rubber on the edges where it's needed when taking curves, and harder, long-wearing rubber in the middle for commuting. A pretty popular choice for people who match my type of riding.
So what are you looking for...you'll get a LOT of recommendations!

Thanks ... Mostly touring and commuting with some aggressive sport riding now and then.

Do a search here for "Shinko" and I think you'll be quite surprised.

To avoid continuing the saga of which tyre is best, I'd suggest Black Round Rubber ones. :stickpoke:
Seriously, I get fairly good milage out of Michellin Macadams (although I don't believe they are available any more) and I've heard good things about the Pilot Roads. However, IMHO, don't put a tyre the has a centre groove/s on the front - this can cause the front end to 'weave'.
B6Mick swears by Shinko's, and being an ex courier he'd know about grip vs tyre life.

You got something against the colored ones?  :stickpoke:
(Besides that they're all recaps, right now anyway.)

No, just that they eventually do turn black, if they last that long.
Besides if you've got a black bike then colour coding the tyres isn't a problem :stickpoke:

I would like to suggest the Avon Storms. These replaced the av 45/46 series which proved to be long lasting as well as sticky enough for track days. I cant tell you the mileage of the storms as I just mounted a set not that long ago but they do provide great grip and appear to be wearing well. My bike puts out 140 hp and 87 ft/lbs to the ground, so something that gets half decent miles and sticks is important and so far I am impressed.

Having worked for Pirelli you can say i'm biased but i love em.
Pirelli Diablo strada = agressive touring
good grip good wear. decent pricing
